What does JamBoards collect?
- Account details: your name, email address and billing details.
- Your content: boards, data sources, displays, schedules, uploaded photos and device names.
- Connected accounts, read only, when you connect them: Google Calendar (
calendar.readonly): your calendars and their events; Microsoft calendars (Calendars.Read,User.Read): the same, plus the account's name and email; Spotify (user-read-currently-playing,user-read-playback-state): the current track, artist, album art and progress; Home Assistant: the entity states your boards show. - Usage: page views and clicks on jamboards.io and in the app, through PostHog.
- Device information: each paired screen's labels, screen size and last check-in time.
How is the data used?
Only to run JamBoards for you: to draw your boards on your screens and to bill you. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What does JamBoards keep, and for how long?
- Sign-in tokens for connected accounts, encrypted at rest, until you disconnect the account.
- Calendar events and playback in memory for a few minutes, so many screens do not each ask the provider. They are not written to the database.
- Your content, until you delete it or close your account.
Who else sees it?
Nobody, except the providers that host, measure and bill for the service (including PostHog for analytics), under contract and only to provide it. Screens never receive a token or a password; they get only what a board shows.
Which subprocessors handle personal data?
- OVHcloud: hosts the JamBoards servers and database.
- PostHog: product and site analytics.
We will add any new subprocessor here before it receives personal data.
How do I remove access or delete my data?
Disconnecting an account in JamBoards deletes its tokens (and, for Google, revokes them). You can also remove access from the provider at any time. To delete your account and data, email michael@sanfordlabs.io.
Does this site use cookies or analytics?
jamboards.io sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It counts visits with PostHog Cloud in cookieless mode: page views and clicks are sent through jamboards.io to PostHog, which processes them for us and does not sell them or use them for advertising. It does not identify you. When you ask for early access, the email you send includes the page you came from, which you can delete before sending.
The JamBoards app uses a sign-in cookie, and PostHog for product analytics.
